TMSA
Transit Managers
and
Supervisors Association

Jeff Wostrel

From the Vice President

We are in challenging times.  Each time the State of Minnesota publishes a revenue forecast, Metro Transit’s budget shortfall increases.  We are continuously asked to do more with fewer resources.  The ever changing demographics of the workforce, especially generational differences, create another challenge/opportunity for you as a leader, mentor and coach.

Your Association is committed to assist you with concerns and struggles you may encounter in your journey as a supervisor/manager.  Please feel free to call on us at any time.

Recent Happenings

TMSA conducted its annual financial audit on 2/9/2009.  Nancy Schantzen and Barb Keener poured over the financial records in the presence of Chris Haefner and me.  There were 3 checks issued for food purchases that had no accompanying support documents.  All 3 however, did coincide with dates the board met with the company for all day contract negotiating.  The rest of the finances were found to be in order and accurate.

Paul Slesar and I will be asking the Human Resources Dept. to provide PDQs for TMSA positions.  We will be reviewing the Hay points assigned to the positions relative to the point range for each position.  We will keep you apprised of the developments.
